The first model in Baglietto's new V-Line is a 41-metre.

The steel-and-aluminium semi-displacement Baglietto 41M has been designed by Milan-based design house Santa Maria Magnolfi, which is also designing a 50-metre displacement yacht as part of the range.  The yard calls the lines “sober and essential, whose sheerline, running uninterruptedly from bow to stern, results in even more streamlined volumes and harmonious profiles”.

Inside, full-height windows open up the guest spaces. On the main deck, the dining area is the focus of activity, and can be used as a traditional indoor dining room or, with the aft glass doors open, as an indoor-outdoor space. The living room has been moved forward, exploiting the available beam to the fullest. Outside, guest areas include a sundeck occupied by sunbeds and sunbathing area, and a further wide sunbathing area on the main deck aft. But perhaps the most surprising area is in front of the wheelhouse, with a large C-shaped sofa overlooking a spacious sunbathing area and a pool. With high bulwarks and wind shields, it’s sure to be a popular guest space.

Hull engineering has been carried out by Baglietto’s engineering department. The yacht, under 500 tons, will be equipped with two Cat 32 ACERT engines that will push her to a maximum speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 11.

“In designing this 41-metre vessel we had the honour and the burden of having to preserve some of Baglietto’s historical elements and stylistic features – such as the two round portholes on the main deck (a reference to the inimitable 20 metre) or the curved corner glass on the helm station (which immediately recalls the first Ischia), while also reviving and renovating the fiery, passionate spirit that has made this brand truly special over the decades,” says designer Federico Santa Maria.
