Latest Lifestyle News: First Class Reaches New Heights

How far can passenger comfort on commercial aeroplanes go? This is a question that many airlines pose as they jostle to gain the business of some of the world’s most elite flyers.

The latest to come up with an answer is Middle East-based operator Emirates, who have created a lavish new first class suite for their Boeing 777 fleet of aircrafts, boasting a design inspired by the world of luxury cars.

The ultra-luxurious cabin took its inspiration from Mercedes Benz and its range-topping S-Class flagship sedan, with several of the design details, such as its soft leather seating, high-tech control panels and mood lighting, mirroring the language of the S-Class. You can read more about this eye-catching aviation development in today’s newsletter.

Elsewhere this week, there’s a preview of an upcoming Christie’s jewellery auction that could yield the world’s most expensive necklace, a stunning round-the-world private jet tour curated by luxury travel agents Abercrombie & Kent, and an augmented version of Ferrari’s track-only hypercar.

We also bring you news from the luxury watch world, with brand new timepieces by renowned watchmakers including Bell & Ross and Cartier both featuring.

And finally, there are reports on the $2.7m Apollo Intensa Emozione hypercar and Aston Martin’s brand new Aston Martin $360,000 convertible Vanquish S Volante roadster, created in honour of American Football star Tom Brady.

That’s all for now. Until next time, enjoy our newsletter and have a wonderful week.
