Dennis Ingemansson and Ned Ship Group, known for their work with solar power and zero emission yachts, have unveiled plans for Solar Dream, a 42-metre catamaran.

Designed for a modern yacht owner, it places efficiency at the top along with comfort. Designed to be ecological, it features a 360 square metre solar cell area as well as a hybrid propulsion solution with additional e-engines for efficient cruising.

The catamaran hull form gives a wide beam of 12.5-metres, and the spacious 580 square metre interior accommodates ten guests in three guest cabins and a double owner’s suite which can be merged upon request.

At approximately 1000 gross tonnes, the composite yacht is expected to reach a top speed of 22 knots thanks to twin MTU 16V 200 M70s.
