Benetti FB803 Blake

Italy’s Benetti shipyard has started construction of a 50m yacht. The new build is known as motoryacht Blake. Built on spec, this new 50m yacht is scheduled for launch in early 2018.

The new build project is part of its FB800 Custom series and follows on from the sale of project FB802 Zazou sold in 2016.

Motoryacht Blake has been designed to deliver the performance of a “comfortable” hull with an extremely low level of vibration and noise, the shipyard says.

The yacht will be equipped with two CAT C32 Acert engines of 1,193kW each. Blake is just under 498gt and it is expected to reach cruising speed of 14 knots with the engines at 85% of full load. Her top speed is estimated at 15.5 knots. At the cost-effective cruising speed of 12 knots, the yacht will have a range of 4,000 nautical miles, Benetti says.
