Italy’s Canados shipyard has announced that hull#1 of its 24.6m Canados 808 Maximus has been sold. The project is currently under construction and due for delivery in July 2017. The yacht will be based in Palma de Mallorca.

Canados 808 was originally introduced during the 2016 Cannes Yachting Festival as project 777, this new Canados will be officially presented to the public in September 2017 during the autumn boat shows.

Under construction

The Italian shipyard is currently working on the hull and will be out of the mould at the beginning of February. Moulds for the deck and superstructure are currently being produced.

The entire superstructure which lamination will start mid-February will be made of Kevlar/Aramat to reduce the weight and increase stability by lowering the barycentre.

Hull#1 of the Canados 808 will be powered with twin V12 MAN engines @1,900hp coupled to V-Drives that will allow the yacht to offer a cruising speed in excess of 25 knots and a 30 knots top speed, the shipyard claims.

As every Canados yacht, her interiors will be fully customized with made in-house furniture.

This 24.6m yacht will be available with two different fly bridge layouts and with two different 4-cabin GA. One of these GA offers two owner’s suites, one located on the main deck and the other on the lower deck with additional two twin cabins.

The other available layout will be characterized by a VIP and two guests on the lower deck. As an option, the 808 can be ordered in a 5-cabin layout, retaining the main deck owner’s suite and 4 guest cabins on the lower deck which is simply unique for a yacht that size.

Designed by Marco Casali, this first 808 is being built in the two-owner cabins version. The starboard side of the transom is equipped with a 3.40m tender garage with the capacity to house either a RIB jet tender or a PWC. In the latter case, the swim platform is equipped with an 800kg capacity tender lift for a tender up to 4m.
