Rossinavi and Ken Freivokh have teamed up to create the 48-metre Argo explorer yacht concept

With vast deck spaces aft and a trans-Pacific capability, the Argo concept is designed to take an owner anywhere he wants to cruise. Built in aluminium, the yacht will be ‘D’ Ice Class, while the open after areas have been designed to host a limo tender, a service tender, a submarine and an amphibious vehicle. It can also be used a touch-and-go helipad. Argo has been adapted from a project originally conceived for the late Tom Perkins.

“Argo has been designed as a proper exploration and support yacht, with purposeful styling targeted at functionality and operational considerations,” says designer Ken Freivokh. The yacht boasts a private elevated owner’s deck, with a full-beam cabin, a private terrace, a study and a further family or nanny cabin. The best views in the house are likely to be from the crow’s nest, accessible by spiral staircase.

The Argo concept is being specced for traditional shafts or  two Rolls-Royce pods, while the hull has been tank tested for trimming and rolling. Rossinavi will carry out a full implementation of zero-noise technology, an engineering process that looks at insulation processing, air and structural noise circulation, glasses interlayer selection and the selection of interior materials.
